Last night Dawn and Q were at Dawn's From Dusk Till Dawn Halloween party at Plumm in NYC. I don't know what the hell Dawn is supposed to be.

The Cannons also threw a Halloween/6 month anniversary party.

No matter what happens on Tuesday we'll have a reason to celebrate.  We will know for sure what will be the end to the last 8 years of foolishness and the beginning of the next 4 (at least).  So its time to get your party on… party like its January 21, 2009, that is.

Here are a few to look forward to on Tuesday night:

Did you guys watch Black in America on CNN awhile back?  If you did then you'll remember that the story almost kicked off with a story about an older woman who was in and out of the hospital for a bunch of products.  She talked about how hard it is to find healthy food in Harlem.  You might remember her saying that she couldn't even find a tomato in Harlem.  Now, that's a damn lie and CNN should know that.  However, it has to be said that it is really hard to find good fruits and veggies and there are no fruit stands like you find in midtown.  I'm sure your doctors and every magazine tell you about how important fresh fruit ad vegetables and general healthy are so its a little outrageous that the healthy foods in Harlem are absent.  With that knowledge Rodale Inc. and the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention have published a free magazine/book, Your Guide to Better Health.  It has all kinds of info about healthy living, healthy food, and disease prevention.  More importantly, its specifically made for Harlem and other communities around Manhattan that don't have a lot of access to medical care or healthy food.   In other words it not only tells you to eat tomatoes, but it also tells you where in your neighborhood you can find them… see, CNN, now take it back.

As much as I'd like to have Nelly all to myself, even I have to admit that he and Ashanti are pretty damn cute together. They hit up the Wicked Broadway Charity event last night.

Ashanti's hair is looking flawless as hell.

And the makeup is flawless too. Work it bitch.

Two dumbass white supremacists, ages 20 and 18, have been charged for plotting to kill/decapitate over 100 black people as well as killing Barack Obama.

Their plan was to go all over the country killing black people and then to eventually drive full speed at Obama while shooting at him all whilst dressed in white tuxedos and top hats.

Riiiight, excellent plan you stupid fuckers.

And as angry as I was to hear this, I'm more angry at the fact that this behavior doesn't surprise me. As far as we've gotten, we haven't gotten far enough. Racism is still very much alive and come November 5th, when Obama claims victory and becomes the number one dude in charge, he will also become number one on alot of ignorant, hateful people's hitlists. But despite the nonsense, we can not let fear impede change and in the meantime we should all pray for the safety of him and his family.

Everything you hear and everywhere you look is election this and Obama that. With his double digit lead, love him or not (sad for you if not) you've probably got Obama on the brain. That's probably why you can encounter the Obama craze not just on t-shirts and buttons, but just about anywhere. On my block I encountered this great Obama chalk drawing. This guy in Central Park gathered a bunch of boats up and got them to hold up letters spelling O-B-A-M-A (sorry it's hard to tell. Couldn't get any closer). And Charlie Brown's great pumpkin has nothing on these 2 jack o'lanterns (o for Obama) that I came across. These are just a few examples of the Obama craze.
