DOPE: Samsung Remote With Built-in TV Screen

samsung-remote,Y-C-235812-1

Leave it to the Asians to take something to the next level, they are some crafty individuals I tell ya.

Samsung, a South Korean electronics megahouse, have released their plans for the dopest television remote of all time. Imagine that you’re watching game 7 of the NBA finals with 10.3 seconds left, the game’s tied and nature starts blowing up your jack. Not to fret, Samsung doesn’t want you to miss that important play so they’re coming out with a remote with a built-in 3-inch tv screen that’s able to live stream television thanks to wi-fi integration.

Whaaaaat!?!

You can also watch a different program on the remote from the one playing on the actual television for times when you really wanna watch the new episode of Jersey Shore but also want to keep tabs on the Heat game.

Did I mention that the remote is also completely touch screen? Yeah, I need one of these.

Japan Hit With 8.9 Earthquake and Tsunami

Geez man, a 13-ft tsunami hit the coast of Japan following a 8.9 earthquake. The quake was so massive that it rattled buildings and sent cars flying off bridges into the water. Approximately 4 million homes are currently without power throughout Japan.

Our prayers are with those in Japan.

Lil Kim Thinks ….. Killed Biggie

lilkim

Yesterday, on the anniversary of Biggie‘s murder, Lil Kim called into Power 95.3 in Orlando to give her theory on who is to blame for his death.

“I always felt like Biggie and Tupac’s deaths was bigger than how they tried to make it believed to be. Them two was very powerful guys. They both could have ran for mayor just like Arnold Schwarzenegger and probably won, and you know I think the government is looking at it like, ‘We can not have these two hood dudes with this much power running for mayor or something like that and winning’. Because they feel like they would have lost control I think.

I can’t say whether this person is involved or that person is involved and you know, no ones knows, but I do know that it’s deeper than people would like it to believe to be.”

So, Kim thinks Uncle Sam is to blame huh? Eh, I dunno about that one mayne. I just don’t see the government up in arms and stressed out that Pac or Biggie might be getting ready to run for political office. Kim might wanna give up trying to solve the who shot Biggie mystery and focus on another mystery…where her career went.

The Funniest PETA Ad You’ll Ever See

Every now and then I come across something that instantly causes me to erupt in uncontrollable laughter. This is one of those times. I give you, Waka Floca Flame‘s PETA ad….

waka flocka Peta

Ya’ll can’t tell me this picture isn’t hilarious. You see those childbearing hips?! Maaaannn, I can’t.

And if that’s not funny enough you know anytime Waka is caught talking it’s a gem….

I always thought those folks at PETA were “special” but tapping Waka Flocka to represent your brand just proves that they’re nutty. Now if they could somehow get a gorilla to teach Waka how to read thennnn we got something to talk about!

Word, We’re Putting Men on Perm Boxes Now?!

Which one of you lovely folk out there would like to give the eulogy at my funeral because upon completion of this post I’m going to promptly go play in traffic on South Orange Avenue for I simply WILL NOT live in a world where we’re putting men on perm boxes. Yasssss bitch, you heard right. There are rumors that boyband JLS member Ashton Merrygold is going to be the new spokesmodel of Dark & Lovely.

I really don’t like to pass judgement on what folks do in the name of getting a check but this rubs me all sorts of wrong. I feel like if this deal goes through, it’s only a matter of time before we see NeYo as the face for Juicy tube lipgloss. Stop the madness, thanks in advance.

reALIze 3D Art Installation by Michael Kalish

reALIze-by-Michael-Kalish-500x336

So I came across this art installation of Muhammad Ali and it’s so dope I had to share it with ya’ll.

Sculptural artist Michael Kalish is known for his unique abilty to repurpose objects such as license plates into art pieces of icons such as James Dean and the Beatles. His latest project got its inspiration when Muhammad and Lonnie Ali visited Kalish’s art show about pop art license plates. The couple loved his work so much that they as Kalish to do a piece on Ali himself.

Fast forward three years and here we have a monument made of 1300 boxing speed bags hanging from a cumulative 5 miles of stainless steel cable and 2 miles of aluminum tubing that stands 22 feet high. Kalish worked with architectural firm Oyler Wu to design reALIze and calls the project an opportunity of a lifetime. reALIze will be shown live in Nokia Plaza, Los Angeles this March 25, 2011 and will be moved around to different locations so that others who can’t make it to Los Angeles may have a chance to see the cerebral work. Take a close look at the photos and video below and visit Michael Kalish online for more of his art HERE.

It’s crazy when you look at the installation from different angles other than head on…you would never think that it’d having anything to do with Muhammad Ali. This Michael Kalish guy is very very talented.
