Obama Signs Stimulus Package into Law Today

Obama Obama's only been in office for about a month now and today he will claim a huge victory by signing his stimulus plan into law.

The $787 billion stimulus package is aimed at increasing consumer spending and creating jobs throughout the country. It will also siphon money into areas such as health care, infrastructure projects and renewable energy development and conservation.

In addition, it includes tax breaks of $400 for most working individuals and $800 for couples. There will also be financial incentives for consumer spending, such as buying houses and new cars.

But although this package seems to provide answers for many of our nation's problems, it is by no means supposed to have an immediate effect and Obama and his team are trying to combat the high expectations that some people are voicing. The reality of it all is that things are probably going to get worse before they get better but this bill will certainly help with improving the unemployement rate. It will however not help the budget deficeit which is expected to hit $1.6 trillion this year, three times more than last year's. Damn that's alot of skrilla.  Let's just hope that it's well worth it.
